Trips to France

Our programme in France takes place in the beautiful and historic city of Rouen. In lovely Normandy and close to Paris, people in this area are said to speak the purest form of French.
With an old town of medieval half timbered buildings, links with the stories of Joan of Arc, Guy de Maupassant, Simone de Beauvoir, Madame Bovary, and the Impressionist painters, fantastic modern shops, street cafes and great restaurants, Rouen is the ideal base for a cultural programme in France.
Our language school, established in 1992, is a five times winner of the STM ’Star Award’. Located on the left bank of the River Seine in Rouen, just near the Jardin de Plants, the school is in a light airy building, with great facilities. You will be taught in small lively groups at just the right level for you. You will study the French language with native French speakers with lots of experience in helping adults to build their confidence in speaking French. You will also access a teaching methodology programme so you can feel confident to inspire children at your school to enjoy learning French. After you complete the course you will have access to a great range of materials to support you back in school.
Our cultural programme will give you a real insight into French life, culture and history, with lots of opportunities to have fun using your French and building your confidence.
Our accommodation is only ten minutes walk from the school in a modern ‘residence’, with parking if you choose to bring a car. You will have your own ensuite room, and your own small kitchenette (with fridge cooker and microwave). Breakfasts are served in the bright and fresh lounge.
We will provide you with lunch every day at our favourite café near the language school, and and we provide you with a daily allowance so that you can choose what you would like to do for dinner. (There is always the option to eat as a group in the evenings too.)
